Give AI time and it will replace all the jobs that we have right now. It is simply matter of time. The question is, how soon will it happen and will equal amount of new jobs be created in new careers? For the next 10 years, accountants should focus a bit more on new innovations with excel and dashboard analytics and ad hoc project skills that require level of customization for analytics.
I think tax side has easier path to implementing AI, especially for individuals and small businesses that could replace your local EAs and IRS staff.
