Personal opinion: conceptually speaking, much of the talk about AGI and ASI is valid in concept, but ONLY IF THERE'S AN ACTUAL ARCHITECTURE FOR THE STUFF, and at that point we are CREATING LIVING PEOPLE and need to think about it much differently.
ChatGPT is just kind of a crapshoot, though.
