ai is not an artificial brain. it is glorified autocomplete. this cultural understanding that neural networks are artificial brains is the reason people take them so much more seriously than they should. ai gets fed oceans and oceans of information, recognizes patterns in ways that other methods of computing can't, and can then generate things with similar patterns to what it recognized in its data. it does not know anything. it cannot think. it chews up and vomits out the information it gets fed.
