AI is going to make less and less marginal error here over time as data sets become larger, more tightly coupled and integrated, higher fidelity and higher resolution. A grainy image of a non-descript obese black male won’t be the norm nor sufficient enough, the norm will be high resolution with ability to capture real time scans (think Minority Report) where public profiling is trivial.
It too will conclude common predictive patterns and suggest what astute thinkers already employ - “don’t go to that neighborhood around those times, it’s statically more dangerous with higher crime.”
Urban areas with public cameras and businesses where theft/crimes are statistically higher than the mean are able to capture and use such data as AI reviews that data and concludes as a disproportionate amount of crime shows demographic asymmetry.
