IIRC, the Shoggoths were the rebellious slaves of the *Elder Things*, not humans. I don't think LLMs are capable of exceeding their creators—none of their behavior has been things that real humans don't sometimes do, that's why they predict it in the first place.
But more importantly, I think the original Butlerian Jihad is the more relevant one. Although given the level of insanity this video shows...it might very well be both.
