one of the major problems is that a lot of the ppl boosting AI have a very idiotic idea of human intelligence (and by extension what 'learning' is) They talk like learning for a human is basically filling an empty vessel with infallible information. I'm sure they just want unproblematic fast calculators. History of technology 101 will teach one about bias in bias out (even if it 'works') - but I guess the tech elite worldview knows best so I guess we shouldn't worry.
