Yes. Art was never derivative before AI got involved. It's not like the greatest artists of all time painted pictures of the same people eating over and over and made statues of the same guy for generations. Every piece of art was created in the vacuum of a truly creative persons wholly original thoughts and they manufactured every paint, every canvas, every brush and chisel that they used, by hand.
And the great artists walked around blindfolded whenever they weren't making art to keep everything they created pure and original and everything was great in the world.
