The biggest thing in the interview wasn't AI, it was that Dr. Hinton went back to work at age 66 to provide for his adult son, and kept working until age 75. We now have a generation of 'quite quitters' and people who refuse to work in their 20s, and this guy voluntarily gave up a pleasant retirement, and did actual productive work in his 6th and 7th decades.
