I think the pro ai mindset comes from our culture pushing art as being pretty and mostly meaningless; a lot of ai bros like art that looks nice and doesn't have its own voice, but instead echos theirs. AI art also presents itself as a "solution" to the "problem" of your art needing to be good and skillful to every be worth anything. Else, it is worthy of nothing but mockery and so is the artist, the fear of being bad/skillless/cringe.
