I taught marketing skills to a junior achievement group in 1983 through Wits Business School Johannesburg. We taught 16 year olds how business works. Start a company, raise capital, make products, sell them [ marketing ] , invest back, grow, and finally pay back the investors [ parents mostly] and share the profits.
I often wonder where those young adults went after that program.
Watching this reminded me that we owe a debt of knowledge and skills to our children, especially to encourage them as early as possible.
Traditional education won't do that.
