The AI thing is really not new. The changes in manufacturing from 1900 to 1940 is incredible. What once took 40 men a week to produce could be done in one day by one man and one machine. Foundries with giant ladles pour tons of iron at a time rather than pounds.
It catapulted the standard of living that most first world nations enjoy today. A good example is automotive worker welders. Thousands of workers once welded vehicle metal stampings into a vehicle body and many puttied and ground to smooth.
All mostly done now be robotic arms and early type AI with cameras more accurate then the human eye.
Learn to make those machines.
Or learn to maintain them.
One day a machine will do heart surgery.
