Used to play around with interative ai for art but as time went on, I can still do a better job combining images because I know a lion is a lion and know the anatomy but to iterative ai, a lion is a token. Can it recheck the generated image to make sure it matches how I lion should look? Maybe but not now.
Will iterative AI replace artists? No, not the way things are. Maybe when AI can be creative.
Iterative AI does have some uses. Right now I use it to create summaries. It has a use as a search engine. You found this channel through a search engine or youtube's algorythm (ai) suggested it to you.
I don't trust it to create software code, at least not by OpenAI. I also don't trust it with math.
I took one of my old math tests and ran it through Gemini and CoPilot. As of last week both AI models scored 73 and 71% respectively.
I am told trained models can spot objects of interest far faster than people. That's really useful if your say digging through thousands of images for something specific ( fossil identification). An assistant not a replacement.
That's my $1.50 opinion. 😊
