Company took art. Trained machine to make more art. Artists weren't paid to train machine. THATS IT. The argument is not in the generation but in profiting off of it WITHOUT COMPENSATING. One thing i've heard was "Well aren't you yourself a combination of thousands of images, books, and inspirations you've read?" That's true, but the HONEST part that's missing is those people with all that knowledge are usually hired and paid for said knowledge. It's conflating experience with theft and if you've read Steal Like An Artist, they're not the same. A.I art generators just plain steal. I've used a bunch programming and in music and I found out quickly A.I can't do what's advertised. You'll find out quickly it can't close that "gap" between your tastes and output. It might help a little bit, but you'll still have to do some work. The one's that don't care about that and just need the work done, so do the corporations firing everyone. They're just capitalists looking to turn a text prompt into a book or artwork they can sell online. It's low hanging grift work they platform as hustle. They're no different than mall stands selling fake lebubu dolls. Just look at their Twitter. Their charisma once challenged degrades to 2008 call of duty chat insults.
