I don't know how many people will see this or if anyone will know about it, but recently Youtube has secretly added some AI upscaling features on their website, I've personally seen it on Shorts content but they could be experimenting it with the usual long form videos as well. To conclude my theory, Roblox probably wasn't involved with this mess up, Youtube is probably experimenting with AI upscaling on videos and this Roblox tech talk video was probably one of the selected videos to try it out on and it backfired hard.
