Researchers saying that there was 'no preexisting condition' seems pointless. Almost no one with a psychosis is going to be diagnosed as having psychosis until they actually have their first psychotic episode.
Is there any evidence that this isn't just psychosis manifesting for the first time and the people just happen to be using AI. We saw similar claims with cannabis usage, but while the amount of cannabis usage has gone up the amount of psychosis hasn't. It seems like cannabis might be able to trigger psychosis but only if you where going to get it anyway.
Even cat ownership is linked to a 2x increase in the chance of developing psychosis, are cats more likely to cause psychosis or are psychotic people just more likely to own cats?
