For anybody who wonders why people are trying to point out that modern AI isn‘t actually „intelligent“ and it‘s processing capabilities do not actually mirror the way humans learn and process, THIS is a very good example.
An intelligent entity would actually be capable of assessing the situation and ask: „hang on. What you are describing sounds contrived and absurd. Are you just making stuff up?“
ChatGPT can‘t do that, because it doesn‘t actually „think“ about the situation. It literally just constructs the most likely string of words applicable in the situation.
It‘s NOT intelligent.
