I understand why you feel like this, but out of fear of being caught in collateral damage you are actively attacking the growth of new technology. Stable masters fought against the rise of cars for the same reason. The sad reality of the world is for innovation and discoveries, you need to break some eggs. Instead of sinking to the level of poisoning innovation, why not innovate yourself and try find a way to move forward alongside technology because like it or not the world will change (with or without AI, the march of time does not stop). Don't get me wrong, in your position, I would not be happy, that being said, I wouldn't actively try to break technology that could solve world hunger or global warming just because a computer copied you instead of a human. You are allowed to have your own ideas a opinions, but why do you think its your place to potentially inhibit the development of something that could be far greater and more beneficial for billions of people. I believe in improving the world for the future, even if it means swallowing your pride in the present. AI work is way more than the generation of pictures, you are looking at a technology that is in its infancy and then looking at a shallow portion of it which has been used in less than ideal ways in order for it to grow which have negative effects on you. My point is, AI is bigger than just copying art, whilst your were caught in collateral damage, you made the active decision to negatively influence someone else hard work. You have plainly and simply made a video stating that your work and art are more important to the world (in your opinion) than the collective work of everyone who has worked on AI and the potential good that could come from their development. You have deliberately done to others, that which was accidentally (/by proxy) done to you. Whilst I don't think anyone who have their livelihood put at risk, I see your conscious decision as the worse of the 2 because it was just that, a conscious decision. Manslaughter vs murder, both are bad, but one is worse and it all comes down to the intention. Also what are you thoughts on people using AI art to inform their own art, they liked your style and wished to make it their own, but maybe you didn't have any relevant examples for them to "closely inspect", would this scenario get your seal of approval or can people only learn from your art style with your blessing if they use an original for reference? Again, I don't mean to devalue your opinion or feelings, but I do mean to critique your actions are a result of those opinions and feelings. Just remember someone spent years developing the software you are seeking to disrupt, how is that fair? An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.
