In 1900 72% of the global workforce worked in agriculture in 2020 it was 25%.
The fact is the variety of jobs today is vastly different than even 40 years ago let alone 60 years ago.
We have no idea what new jobs will exist on top of that you have the aging of the population.
In 2000 12% of the USA was 65 or older and today it's 18% and in 2044 it will be 23% that means fewer workers and of those workers more will be needed to care for the elderly.
This means retail, manufacturing and office jobs will need more automation to function there isn't really any other options.
