This makes no sense. If the defense brought in evidence from ChatGPT, then they wouldn't be able to isolate it from the Internet. It could have literally reconstructed it simply by searching… Training does not retain data like you think it does. This is absolutely insane. You have people who do not understand what's going on making decisions on stuff. They'll likely never understand… Seriously if you want to dump it down think of making an AI like throwing a bunch of stuff into a meat grinder and seeing what comes out at the end overtime. Likely be some sort of fungus but a pretty intelligent one. The original article would not exist anymore… Literal ignorance is going to win and that's sad. Sure they probably need to be held accountable for something. But at least be right about it.
