Its fairly simple. Imagine you're a CEO or on the board of a company and have kids. Once in a while you go to school events and start to get a feel for what the next generation of workers is going to look like. You're going to freak out and wonder if they can bring in enough immigrants from countries that haven't rotted their children's brains yet, but realize that the only focus is on illegal aliens that have no skills you're company needs. You still want your nice salary and the ONLY VIABLE OPTION you see for the future is automation. When the kid's parents have blue hair and tattoos on their skull under the hair which they can shave down to show nasty devil worship tattoos, you might question if society itself is doomed. Do you think they would mess with million dollar automation systems if they could hire people that were graduating in the early 1950s? Hell no, humans like those are actually much easier to manage and deal with than robots that must be maintained by highly paid people.
