If I would ever give up being an artist, accept the "defeat" and just consume whatever algorithms throw at me because "what's the point of creating when ai can do it in seconds?" I would lower myself on the same level as ai prompters and I would become just another consumer. I once made a song for a friend for his movie trailer. At that time, It was a new territory for me, making cinematic music. I didn't put much effort into it and made just a short track in like 30 minutes. In the final production he didn't use the song. Just to not make him feel sorry for me I told him how long it took me. His reaction changed, and suddenly my track for him had no value. So why, when I don't put effort into my art and make it in just few minutes, it's not valuable, but when ai generates an image in a few seconds, we are supposed to pretend it has value? Where was the sweat? the tears? The hard times, the writing block, the inspiration, motivation, the journey, fighting for it, the will to spend time to do the art? This is what in my opinion, gives an art a value. This is the story it tells. I think this is what makes an art "ART". A will to sacrifice for an expression of an emotion. So no, art made in few seconds is either quick idea sketch or effortless slop. I sacrifised so much just so I could express what I feel through music, and I don't regret any second of it. I am valuable, and so are you.
