Nightshade doesnt work. It can work, but you would need an insanely large amount of the training data to have been effected in order to have even a small effect. The concept is sound, but it will never work.. (Proof: OpenAI just released a new image generator, that most likely has images in the training data that have used nightshade, and its the best image generator released, so if anything, nightshade helped haha.)
Image generators ALREADY train on their own outputs. The whole concept of 'model collapse' is nonsense, and isnt really an issue at all in modern transformer based tech. Training on data generated directly by the AI model itself, is actually extremely useful in finetuning the model to create better outputs.
