I've been a driver for 25yrs, here's the thing. If automation takes the jobs, all jobs not just trucking, who buys stuff? How do you maintain gdp if no one has a job or income to buy goods the robots produce? These companies think there's going to be all this money to be made with automation...NOT IF HUMANS DON'T HAVE MONEY TO SPEND BECAUSE NO JOB. Robots are stocking the shit out of the shelves, no one with a job to buy it.
