I understand AI and use it everyday, it is way overhyped, it will not be some crazy disruption of jobs. It can read human text and do image recognition based on its training set.
Robots have been around for half a century, there is no new technology that is suddenly going to make them more prevalent. Humanoid robots are pretty pointless without general intelligence, like humans have, and we are no where near an artificial general intelligence.
