Smart people like Karen need to realize the human population is much more diverse than the Silicon Valley, techchie, or jazz listening whiskey drinking high income earners. When something becomes whole-public facing, consumer-led like AI nowadays, nothing technical matters. Discussion will never be productive at this level because that’s not the point. Society is wide, humans are diverse in every metric, including attention span and life goals. Not everyone cares is DL is a subset of ML is a subset of AI, because how does that information help me decide which washing machine to buy, which is replacing a 15 year old one that doesn’t have a screen on it.
