Autonomous weapons cut both ways. Smaller countries and even non-state actors can develop or buy them to hit bigger powers. Just saying. It amazes me how some obviously smart academics still imagine conflict as a tidy board game where drones politely clash until the bigger swarm marches in. Real life is messier. Autonomous weapons make warfare cheaper, sneakier, and far less predictable.
