I want my own personal AI pet. But capitalism will never deliver. I want to keep the ai-matrix, but base it on a world-shared trove of training data for the basics. And have my own personal data locally for further customization. Audio, pictures, even 3d cgi... And personal assistant work, even mobility and disability aids. This shared basic data? Capitalists will demand is *theirs*. Brand wars and paywalls ensue. DRM locks us in, refuses anything the company dislikes. Narcs on users doing brand-unfriendly things even in private spaces. The fracturing of effort between capitalists' firms? Will sabotage results that shy away from unethical means. You know what? Screw it. Lets build our own, for the world. The sooner the better. Linux-style free-as-in-speech. No walls, no fences, creative-commons. Sure, we can start with some gpl code from musk's openAI, like chatgpt. It belongs to the world, thats what gpl means. Chatgpt is what it is from unethical data-scraping for training. But we need systems for the world to contribute to. We need to nurture this as a child, because this child will either entomb humanity in capitalist cages? Or force the abolition of Capitalism, potentially by default.
