I think one of the few good things about ai art is that its reminded us of the true meaning and root of art.
So much about capitalism and the so called "inevitability" people portray ai art sounds so similar to the "artist's insecurity", that their writing, or art, or creations don't matter because something soulless can make a "better" end product. Tell me. Why do people bake bread when they can buy it, why do people carve wood when they can 3d print something that looks and feels similar enough, why do people build lego when they can have the model pre built, even why do people grind and fail over and over at video games just so they can complete and achieve when they could just download cheats? Why? I don't know, human nature has been tried to be answered over and over through so many mediums of art and literature that ai defenders can barely fathom, or perhaps tragically, are hopeless in believing it matters. Belive in the meaning you put into art, because, hey, maybe thats inspiring enough on its own to pick up a pencil/stylus again.
