The AI market today behaves just like any other past hyped market. Say JavaScript when Webpack and React.js appeared, or Big Data market when Hadoop and MapReduce were gaining momentum. Eventually all these billion AI products will die off and 2-3 players will remain - Microsoft, AWS and Google. Even if whey catch up slowly they eventually will, and because everyone uses their enterprise products, it will only be a natural choice to use their products. All these tools will be very simple, their complexity abstracted away from the end user because most companies don't like investing in extremely complex technologies and people familiar with the tech who are expensive and hard to come by. All this craze is just temporary. Best and closest example is Hadoop, MapReduce, YARN and their vendors like Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapR etc. These products were extremely complex to use. Now all this was replaced by AWS Athena, BigQuery and Snowflake. Nobody remembers Cloudera and Hortonworks anymore. They were only a spark of brilliance in this earth's existence and Anthropic or OpenAI will share the same destiny.
