I mean. It could just be that he actually looked basically the same as the perp.. As a white person I can tell you there are plenty of white people who arent related who look nearly identical. I imagine every ethnicity has that in common.
And given the fact AI facial recognition goes off things like eye shape, nose, cheek bones, lips, ears, and whether anything in the system matches those features. It's probably not because the AI is racist.
