'Some people aren't good at writing so you should let them steal from the talented and hard working' is a wild, wild take. But it really is the argument for generative AI in a nutshell. I used to use a creative writing AI as a random ideas generator, but questions about how it's trained made me stop and generally AI leads to lower quality work and not finding your own voice. It's a crutch, not a tool. The irony of the colloquial use of 'crutch' in a discussion about ableism doesn't escape me.
