I think it will fail to come to the point where he wants to be. A lot of inventions (or all of them) had y=lnx type of success. So give it some time, perhaps next failure with AI glasss and AI necklacees etc., to fail and we will see. Remember AI swallows a lot of human knowladge and it just looks itis creative. Only AGI can be creative and AGI will be brain of some quite intelligent human and for that I don't think it is enough to have a lot of GPUs. How I look at this is process of learning. If you show something to human it will be anough one image. Let say never saw Saturn, one image of Saturn is enough to lear it is Saturn. How many images of Saturn is needed for AI?
So it is all overblown hype probably because of money
