I don't think that there is anything wrong with AI art if it actually respected artist work and omitted them from their training. I believe some lots of Si hosting sites have remove the ability to name an artistist in prompts yet there is always style reference option so the problem is still there. While I understand the need to 'poison' Ai,I believe that this endeavor is futile in the long term as it is a technology and the will ALWAYS be a way around it. This is the thing people hate to hear: Learn both: learn to draw and learn how to use AI in an ethical way. Just like you wouldn't trace the art of someone else well come up with your own ideas for an Ai art workflow. I hear you say 'well it's the data set that are the issue', I still say that create your own concept and style as these datas are transformative and so even though they may use the same data sets (which is already done), the end result won't be the same as the style can also be transformative.
