His AI art isn't hurting them or taking away from their art in any way. These people are just attention seeking. That's why people are moving towards AI because dealing with an artists ego is insufferable.
As someone who has commissioned art from multiple artists, it's annoying. You basically have to hope they'll put in a decent amount of effort and if they don't you get something half-assed.
If you like to draw and make art, no one is stopping you.
