Came back to say we're at the crux between the old and the new. If greed and fear win, we will become extinct. If we can work out an ethical way to distribute resources while AI and robots do the work, as well as find purpose in something other than work, we can create a semi-utopia.
Otherwise, we're at the great filter that explains Fermi's paradox.
