What's the difference between prompting an AI or an artist? You still have the whole idea and the creation only exists because you were able to idealize and prompt it to someone or something capable of 'putting it on paper'. Only difference is that with AI I get better results for way lower prices, or sometimes even free.
Generating 100 images to fill a bestiary is absurdely expensive and timing consuming if you commission artists, and this can be in a very different style that you want cause maybe an artist capable of doing the style you want will ask for a way higher price than average. A single book like that can cost you from 6 to 20k usd with a mid to very good artist and take the whole year or more to be done. Very unrealistic to say the least.
