I think AI could have the greatest impact on humanity if used in the psychiatric field. Streamlining diagnoses, medications, and treatment. This could help alleviate alcoholism, drug addiction, homelessness, domestic violence, serial killings, etc. If fully developed and applied could get rid of an enormous amount of pain and suffering.
