Its so vastly wild to me that so many people support Generative AI. The more and more time that I see and hear the disparaging of real artists, The more sick I become of generative AI. Art is meant to be an avenue of self expression, using your tastes and experiences to make something wholly unique. AI cannot innovate, which is one of the largest reasons why it'll never be good. But also livelihood is an equally big, or maybe even bigger reason generative AI sucks. Comic artists, music writers, painters, even photographers and stylists, every piece they put out has some part of them ingrained within, they show it off to the world because they're proud of the skills they honed, but AI spits in the face of that ideal, people shouldn't feel a sense of pride typing in a prompt that steals someone else's ideas and cobbles it together, there's no accomplishment there, no soul, no personalization.
