Expanding on this a little, while I have no experience with law, I have been taught business strategies, and the first step of any project is to create a list of ideas and directions to achieve that project. I'd be very surprised if the legal process doesn't involve a bunch of lawyers reading a summary of the key points in their suit, thinking up arguments to investigate.
AI can let those lawyers start that job immediately, able to read over the preliminary study and come up with ideas based on the basics, while whoever was supposed to summarise the document does their own summary, highlighting missed key points and pointing out where the AI is wrong. The human revision of the summary is then submitted to the ideas group and they can immediately cross bad ideas off the list and add any new ones.
If all goes well, the ideas team is now several hours ahead. And even in the worst case scenario of the AI speaking nonsense, all that means is they're back on the original schedule.
(although, I wouldn't discount the human cost of the process. It might be a tad frustrating for the ideas team to spend hours on a project only to find out that they wasted their time. It'd definitely hold off a full implementation until a proper accuracy rate test had been done and staff training was viable)
