i bet to disagree, i am a developer been using claude sonet 4.5 and opus for coding and general research. for coding, they are very expensive with frustrating times limits. you can't do much when it comes to heavy coding with with the normal plan, it's almost useless in this regard as you have to arrange your work based on the time limits if you burn through your tokens quickly and this is unavoidable for critical research and coding. secondly their results are always too optimistic and lacks real substance when it comes to coding. i usually research, design and build a master todo ladder before asking claude code to implement for me and behold their results are good, but again lacks solid foundation and strenght, leaving out critical codes or information, security lapses and shallow code base. what am saying is claude code lacks initiative to implement some basics or relevant stuffs to what it codes, it basically gives you what you asked, without thinking out of the box to enhance what you gave it or make critical recommendations to the code. so i got really frustrated with all these and decided to try github copilot with gpt 5.2 for research and design and gpt 5.1 codex max for coding and implementation and it blew my mind. gpt 5.2 is leagues ahead of claude. i would say it's and adult at 40 who has already figured out this thing called life while claude is still a teenager, preoccupied with what gender to call a man. she/he . i created my master todo ladder and gave both claude code and gpt 5.2 to execute the tasks, and again the results were as clear as day. i asked claude to review gpt organization, design and codes, and compare with it's own and it recommended i ditch it's own and use gpt and asked if it should proceed implementing gpt's results instead. bottom line is gpt 5.2 is hella superior in almost every aspect to claude. you have to use it to see the difference
