this whole issue of nanowrimo saying "uSING GEN AI IS NECESSARY FOR ALL PEOPLE WHO HAVE MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DISABILITIES" is especially stupid to me because of one simple thing (besides all of the other obvious problems with their condescending ahh statement): how were disabled and/or poor artists writing and creating art before genAI was a thing? because they certainly were. they still are. so... explain, please, how it is NECESSARY when it never was ai isn't the exact issue, bc it can be used for helping and that's good (i.e.: speech to text and autocorrect features) it's when you say that genAI is the way to go if you want to be able to write or create art bc "oh no no no, your basic level brain cannot grab a pencil and start imagining stories. you, who have a 2010 phone cannot create a novel in there, no no. you who have chronic wrist pains, better rest them and use our sponsor instead" it just sounds so insulting...
