Le risque, proche du deuxième expliqué mais qui me paraît aller plus loin que ce qui est évoqué, c'est le contrôle des imaginaires et de la vérité. On voit bien déjà que parce-que les IA se basent sur les données qui sont sur internet, certains des textes générés par les chatbots sont faux et relaient des idées complotistes, inventent de fausses sources ou autre. Les grandes entreprises et les ultra-riches qui possèdent les IA les plus utilisées pourraient faire en sortent que le discours qui est généré défende leur vision du monde et amène les sociétés vers un déclin de la démocratie et vers le totalitarisme. La plupart des usagers croient que ce disent les chatbots est une vérité absolue, on parlait même il y a plus d'un an de remplacer les professeurs par l'IA, c'est l'un des dangers principaux. Si l'IA sait et réfléchit à la place de ceux qui l'utilisent, ceux-ci perdront leurs capacité de réflexion et leurs mémoires.
