Because ultimately humans are both lazy and greedy and that combination is what fuels commerce and the economy and ultimately will cause our destruction. It's why we eat fast food garbage, it's why people want a diet pill instead of changing habits and exercising, and it's why so many people use AI for things like their homework and don't care about the long-term consequences.
