I get the feeling that when it comes to totally autonomous self driving cars, it’s only really going to work if ALL cars and vehicles are totally autonomous self driving vehicles. Until then there’s too much random chaos that can be caused by actual human drivers. It’s like the vehicles you see in Spielberg’s Minority Report. Every car is self driving and autonomous but they seem to be communicating with the other cars as well as with sensors that define the roads and where they can travel. As soon as a human takes over and starts driving all hell breaks loose!
