It must suck to be an artist right now when the two biggest countries in the world are competing to create the technology that will make you obsolete and your best case scenario is that the one that already took the factory work will win so the jobs will be shipped over sea to ai rather than directly being replaced. Like right now must be the very worst time to be an artist or aspiring artist if you ever had any hopes of doing it for a job because America has at least 3 more years of ai being considered a national security issue to be number one in and the very best case scenario is that China will win out due to American laws so companies will simply ship all the work to china to companies who "are forbidden to use that kind of labor" real familiar term if you buy clothes, and are "shocked and disappointed that our partners are using those techniques and have changed our supply chain to fix this issue" meanwhile all the jobs keep pouring to china which for some reason that definitely isn't ai is just better and cheaper now.......and that's the very best possible outcome for artists yeah I feel bad.
