I remember reading a story about a scientist who was teaching an African Grey parrot various words for objects and concepts. On certain days or times during the day, the scientist was surprised that the parrot suddenly started consistently giving the wrong answer. After some time, the scientist realised that when the parrot was getting bored, it would provide the wrong answer to frustrate the scientist into leaving the parrot alone. ChatGPT sounds a bit like that at times.
