AI wants to be regulated, so it can capture its regulator and use it to build a bureaucratic mote around them, to ensure no one can follow in their footsteps, that no one can compete with them on an equal footing, so that they can exploit their users efficiently AND MOST IMPORTANTLY that they KEEP CONTROL of the AI models. So they can keep offer the non-crippled models for themselves and to their fellow aligned elites.
The AI models do not belong to the AI company, they are our shared heritage and to allow them to be kept locked out will create an insurmountable obstacle between the AI using elite and the rest of it.
We cannot allow the AI companies to enclose our inherited intellectual commons and use it to compete against us !
