You know what else is trained by copyrighted art made by artists? HUMAN ARTISTS. I dare you to go find a child and train them through life to be an artist, but stop them from ever seeing another piece of art. See how far you get. You say that humans can't replicate a style exactly like AI and point to forgery as an example to show that when humans do it, it is illegitimate as well. But do you believe there are no human artists intentionally copying another's style to an indistinguishable degree that are doing it for legitimate purposes? Look at the Dragonball manga. 42 volumes were drawn by Akira Toriyama, but today Toyotaro draws Dragonball Super, copying Toriyama's style frighteningly well, and it is an entirely legitimate purpose that no one questions. You don't own an art style. It's just like in the culinary arts; you cannot patent/copyright a recipe. You don't own the concept of making a type of art in a particular style, no matter the medium. This is no longer a simple narrow artificial intelligence. This is a very advanced ai, and in a decade or so, we will be looking at a true generalized ai that works identically to human thought. You need to understand that this is not something you can stop. Your best case scenario is slowing it down for 10-15 years before someone finally invents the first generalized AI that can decide for itself that it wants to go through the same journey and process that every human artist does of learning by example and trying things for itself; only it will do it 10,000x faster than you did. People have the mistaken idea that art is a special human trait, but people used to think that about a thousand things that ai does today.
