here's the ultimate problem, A.I image generators cannot innovate. They do indeed create brand new images, but its is 100% derivative. Human art is somewhat derivative too, some more than others but within the overall pool of artists, new styles and techniques are born all the time. Now if society relies on A.I too much, you take opportunities away from humans who may start out doing derivative/formulaic work, but have the potential, if allowed to continue creating, to push the craft further and develop something unique. If that happens, then there's less new data for the A.I to train on and eventually art will just stagnate into a bunch of tired inbred mash ups.
