People using chatGPT as a research tool are just plain wrong. This is just a glorified, extremely literate chatbot. If you want to really leverage AI in your research, you should use bing chat since it is connected to the internet and that cuts down on hallucination and is far more capable. Even then you have to check its output for correctness. Furthermore, proper prompting is VERY crucial if you want to get anything useful that does not require a ton of extra work. Just plainly asking it for something is generally not good. Otherwise, it can be very useful tool that saves so much time. Very very stupid lawyers indeed.
